Perhaps, in the long term. But greed is the first factor that drives people to act.

I hear you, loud & clear, Dr. Goyal.

One of the things in my mind, during our look at human intelligence, intrigued me.

As a 70 years of age, white, European descent, born in the USA Deep South, comfortably affluent, male in the USA, I realize that I am the remnant of the USA’s horrific past. In the 1950s & 1960’s of my history, American apartheid was booming along, strong as could be.

Racism & apartheid of races were not even a blink of a thought for me, as a child. I simply went the typical path of believing the narrative put forth by my society.

My eye opening experience was in the early 1980s. I had graduated University with my BAE in Education & my MEd in Special Education & Psychometry. I job jumped for a while & then applied to the US Peace Corps. I was sent to Kingston, Jamaica. 🇯🇲

It was in Kingston, where I first experienced racism towards me. Thankfully, although silently racist, my parents had instilled in me caring, compassion & morality toward others. We had minorities working in our house. I took it all for granted, assuming that they had a similar life to mine. 😳🤯 I knew no better.

The utter poverty in Kingston, juxtaposed with the extreme wealth of a few families, was something new to me. It changed my life.

I don’t know where I intended to go with all of this free-thinking, but it is interesting to me. There are MANY of us, whom have lived similarly. We escaped racism & the blindness to utter poverty. I am so grateful to have realized all of this.

I am unsure what steps to take in this new world reality of hatefulness towards others, if they are different. Why? Such a simple concept to hold dear to our hearts, but so simple, if one has the ability to see! We are ONE PEOPLE! Full Stop!

Thank you for listening to a happy old man, praying for a miracle to occur in our new reality! The Episcopal Bishop Budde, pretty much said it all on 20 January 2025, didn’t she?

All the Best!

Richard
